How do I transcribe a YouTube video?
Paste any YouTube link into the app, or tap the Share button in the YouTube app and select Transcribe. The full transcript with timestamps and an AI summary will be ready in seconds.
Can I transcribe YouTube Shorts?
Yes. YouTube Shorts links work exactly the same way as regular YouTube videos. Paste the link or share directly from the YouTube app.
How do I transcribe Instagram Reels?
Open Instagram, tap Share on any Reel, then select Transcribe. You'll get a complete transcript with an AI-generated summary.
Can I transcribe WhatsApp or Telegram voice messages?
Yes. In WhatsApp, long-press on a voice message, tap Forward, then Share, and choose Transcribe. For Telegram, save the voice message to Files and import it into the app.
How do I transcribe a voice memo?
Open Voice Memos, tap Share on any recording, and select Transcribe. The app will transcribe and summarize it automatically.
Can I transcribe a live meeting or lecture?
Yes. Use the Live Dictation feature to record and transcribe in real time. Works for meetings, lectures, interviews, and conversations.
How does real-time transcription work?
Tap the record button and start speaking. Your audio streams to our AI in real time and words appear on screen as you talk. When you stop, the full transcript is saved with an AI-generated summary. The recording is also saved locally on your device.
What happens if I lose connection during recording?
Your recording never stops. If the connection drops, the app keeps recording locally and automatically reconnects. If reconnection fails, the full recording is transcribed in one go when you tap stop. No audio is ever lost.

What languages are supported?

Transcribe uses iCloud Drive to sync your transcriptions across all your Apple devices automatically. No sign-in or account required.
Is my data private?
Yes. We do not store any audio, video, transcriptions, or summaries on our servers. Everything stays on your device and in your iCloud. The only exception is shared transcriptions — when you choose to share, that transcript is stored on our servers so others can view it.
